Optical Technician

Core Requirements

    1. Previous experience as an Optical Technician (lens cutting and fitting, eyewear repair, frame adjustment).
    2. Good conduct, professional ethics, honesty and transparency, and respectful behavior when dealing with colleagues and customers.
    3. Ability to work as part of a team and integrate within a collaborative work environment.
    4. Willingness to accept instructions and guidance and apply them accurately.
    5. Ability to learn quickly, accurately remember lens, frame, and material names, and ensure correct and precise data entry.
    6. Preferably residing in a nearby area to ensure reliable and timely arrival for shift schedules.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

First:   Technical Duties

  1. Operate and use the company’s lens cutting and edging machines safely and correctly.
  2. Cut and fit optical lenses according to prescriptions and approved technical standards.
  3. Measure lens power and verify accuracy before and after fitting.
  4. Adjust frames to ensure proper fit, alignment, and customer comfort.
  5. Perform eyewear repairs, including tightening, adjustments, welding, and part replacement when required.
  6. Inspect finished work to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
  7. Maintain cleanliness and proper sanitation of cutting machines, tools, and workstations.

Second:   Operational Responsibilities (Based on Company Policy)

    1. Maintain daily cleanliness and organization of the workshop and storage areas.
    2. Accurately enter job orders and completed work into the company’s electronic system.
    3. Work closely with optometrists and the sales team to ensure timely and high-quality order completion.
    4. Support the sales team in daily operations when needed, including customer assistance and showroom organization.
    5. Comply with the company’s Dress Code Policy, discipline standards, and professional appearance.
    6. Adhere to shift schedules, including arriving 15 minutes early for the morning shift for preparation.
    7. Follow all company administrative policies and instructions.
